Note di degustazione
The 2005 Cornas Les Ruchets is a youthful, relatively unevolved Cornas that gives up lots of currants, figs, licorice and gamy meats in its medium-bodied, focused, classic style. Give bottles another 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy over the following decade.

Deep ruby. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with zesty minerals and cracked pepper adding energy. A nicely balanced midweight with fresh raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a suave mineral undertone. Finishes with tangy grip and superb sappy persistence. Anne Colombo told me that this comes from vines in Chaillot, which are planted on granite.
Saturated ruby. Explosively aromatic nose features pungent, exotic potpourri and floral notes to complement the ripe cassis and blueberry fruit aromas. Very sweet on the palate, with expansive, liqueur-like dark fruit flavors and supple, well-knit tannins. Gains focus and energy on the impressively sweet and long finish.
