2020 Cornas

Inky ruby. Deeply perfumed aromas of black and blue fruit preserves, licorice, olive paste and peony are complemented by floral and smoked meat top notes. Stains the palate with intense, mineral- and pepper-accented blackberry, boysenberry, bitter chocolate and spicecake flavors; a floral pastille nuance builds through the back half. Chewy, youthfully gripping tannins frame an impressively long, flora-tinged finish that shows outstanding definition and dark fruit thrust.
