2018 Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Trockenbeerenauslese

The 2018 Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese is very clear and aromatic on the dense and concentrated nose that represents ripe stone fruit aromas. The JSU seems less developed and fine at this early stage compared to the corresponding Helden. Bottled with 5.5% alcohol and 330 grams of residual sugar, this is a very sweet and viscous, round and piquant TBA with lingering stone fruit aromas. It is very sensual and rich with vitalizing acidity yet needs years to gain the finesse of the marvelous Helden TBA. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.
