2019 Cotes de Nuits Villages La Rue des Foins

From two parcels, with 90- and 50-year-old vines. Cask sample. A slightly raw note on the nose at this stage. More concentrated and more raspberry than the regular Côte de Nuits-Villages with a little more obvious tannin and acidity. But it's still fairly accessible even if without the easy charm of the regular bottling at this stage. (JR)
