1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Bright red-ruby. Muskier and more expressive on the nose than the Profile, offering scents of black fruits and leather. A bit more rustic on the palate as well, with leather and game notes currently overshadowing the fruit. Nicely concentrated wine with a strong spine of acidity and substantial tongue-coating tannins. Very good material here but the whiff of Band-Aid suggests some brettanomyces. (14.5% alcohol)
