2017 Beaujolais Villages Blanc

The 2017 Beaujolais-Villages Blanc confirms its terrific showing last year, offering up lovely aromas of honeycomb and crisp green orchard fruit. Medium to full-bodied, deep and incisive, it's elegantly textural, racy and concentrated, concluding with a mineral finish. Unlike most examples of the appellation, it's improving with bottle age, though that should hardly be a surprise given its haute couture élevage.
