The most structured Fleurie in the range is the 2019 Fleurie Clos Vernay, a medium to full-bodied, elegantly muscular wine evocative of plums, sweet wild berries, orange rind and spices. Built around tangy acids and powdery tannins, it will reward patience—indeed, this would be a fine candidate for purchase in magnum. As I've written before, this sheltered, southeast-facing site is defined by decomposed granite and quartz soils.
