2020 Completer Malanserrebe

The 2020 Completer Malanserrebe is deep, pure, fresh and intensely aromatic on the nose that reveals ripe, elegant and well-concentrated fruit aromas intertwined with coolish, finely spicy notes of crushed stones. On the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense, intense and tight, enormously vital, fresh and vibrant white with serious phenolics and a long, structured finish. This is a fascinating long-distance-runner with great elegance, finesse and clarity. Although it's primarily fruity at this early stage and really powerful in terms of alcohol figures, it's also vibrantly mineral, terroir-driven and represents a perfect match between the rare Completer grape variety and the Graubünden terroir. The 2020 is rather smooth compared to the 2019. 14.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted in January 2022.
