The 2020 Langpad has wonderful definition on the nose, offering vivid citrus peel, apricot and beeswax scents that soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity, very elegant and pure, leading to an intense, grapefruit-tinged, mineral-rich finish. This is a gorgeous wine from beginning to end.

Full bottle 1,350 g. Colombard from vines planted in 1985. Fresh, bright and drinkable, but the flavours don't go much past simple citric fruit. There's a bit of candied ginger on the finish. Dry, balanced, straightforward. (RH)
