Fresh plum notes from the sherry casks, with almond nuttiness, vanilla, brown sugar, new leather shoes, and a hint of snuff on the nose. An early tang of fruit skin bitterness on first sip, this opens up beautifully with sweet, flesh plum flavors, tingling pepper, creamy caramel, vanilla, dried red berries, and brown butter, with long residual spices on the slowly drying finish.
