2019 Riesling Vom Roten Schiefer

Bottled in early September, the Pündericher 2019 Riesling Vom Roten Schiefer opens with a very elegant and aromatic bouquet of ripe stone fruits (mirabelles) that are perfectly intertwined with the crystalline and crunchy expression of red, iron-rich slate. Juicy, piquant and very salty on the palate, this is a pure and fresh yet intense, structured and crystalline Riesling with a charming finish, remarkable terroir expression and just 11.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.
