2019 Cotes du Rhone Seguret Grande Reserve

Another brilliant wine is the 2019 Cotes Du Rhone Villages Séguret Grande Reserve, a rich, powerful expression of this terroir offering lots of ripe red and black fruits, notes of chalky minerality, ground pepper, and black licorice that take time to open up. It's full-bodied on the palate and brings a big, expansive mouthfeel, ripe yet solid tannins, and great finish. It needs plenty of air to show at its best today and will benefit from 2-4 years in the cellar. It's not for those craving instant gratification, or those looking for lightweight aromas and flavor, but it should have 15 years of overall longevity.
