Note di degustazione
The 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru shows an attractive bouquet of tertiary red fruit and a faint whiff of freshly-rolled tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and understated, with pliant tannins and a pure finish that has just the right amount of bitterness. This doesn’t share the length of the Méo-Camuzet, but it's a "grower". Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

From two parcels at the top and bottom of the vineyard picked on different days, the 2019 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which contains one-quarter whole bunch, has a tightly wound bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, woodland/autumn leaf and subtle hints of wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, good energy and tension and a judiciously spiced, quite persistent finish. This is a classy Clos de Vougeot.
