The 2019 Ried Steinertal Riesling Smaragd is from the terraced part of the cru and combines coolish but ripe and concentrated white peach stone fruit aromas with flinty-crystalline terroir aromas. Full-bodied and intense but also refreshing, with piquant and salty acidity and persistent crisp stone fruit aromas, this is a densely textured., very intense but always stimulating Steinertal Riesling that reflects the coolish terroir of this vineyard between Pfaffenberg and Loibenberg. 13% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021.
