Pure, stony citrus, opening out to white-blossom fragrance but delicate rather than heavily perfumed, the citrus becoming more intense as it opens. Creamy texture with, at the heart, direct and crisp intensity on the palate. Long, dry and precise, with a lot more complexity in the making even though it is delicious now. Builds to a crescendo of pure citrus on the long finish. (JH)

AP number 33 20. Floral and fetching on the nose. Rather flirtatious. Great impact on the palate – so pretty! This is already a great drink and seems to have massive extract and many layers of flavour. Lovely resonance on the finish. (JR)
The 2019 Riesling GG Felsenberg is pure, fresh and flinty on the precise, perfectly ripe and complex nose. Lush and generous on the palate, this is a full-bodied, intense, salty, remarkably finessed and structured Felsenberg Riesling with lingering salinity and crystalline character. The finish is dense and very complex yet vital, fresh and long, with lots of expression. Tasted as a sample in Bremen, April 2020.
