Note di degustazione
Harvested in stages in Gualtallary over a five-week period, this Cabernet Franc with 8% Malbec, aged in foudres, is a grand statement about the virtues of the variety. Sweet and sour cherries dominate a nose that reveals light hints of pyrazine, but are then overtaken in the glass by black currant. An open wine with a juicy palate, firm structure and polished tannins, presenting an engaging character and a long, fruity finish.

The expressive and elegant 2017 El Enemigo Cabernet Franc has some 8% Malbec in the blend. It's a subtle red with nuance and detail, very harmonious, aromatic, even floral within the spicy character of the variety. The palate is medium-bodied, the tannins are very fine and there's moderate alcohol and very good freshness and harmony. This matured in oak foudres for some 15 months. 25,000 bottles produced.
