Note di degustazione
Slightly deeper in color than the pre-released 2013, the 2010 Nyetimber Rosé 1086 was bottled in April 2011 and disgorged in December 2018. It has an attractive bouquet of red cherry and rose petals, and a light fish scale note develops with time. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, offering lemon zest, red cherry and a touch of rhubarb toward the finish. Very fine.

75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, from own Sussex vineyards. Winemaker: Cherie Spriggs. Most of the wine vinified in stainless steel only; red-wine element spent 5–6 months in old oak. Five years on lees. Disgorged June 2016. Vegan-friendly. TA 7.5 g/l, pH 3.14, RS 8 g/l. Tasted blind. Mid to deep orangey pink. Strange nose. Then very obvious sweetness, and acid on the end. Not integrated. (JR)
Disgorged in June 2016 with eight grams per liter dosage, the 2010 1086 Vintage Rosé is showing well, unwinding in the glass with a youthfully reticent bouquet of dried flowers and delicate hints of red berries and gingerbread. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, tight-knit and chalky, with fine-boned phenolic structure, racy acids and a nicely defined finish. Like its white counterpart from the 2009 vintage, it's impressively complete, but the 2010 Rosé is a bit more introverted and needs a bit of time in the cellar to blossom.
75% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir. Subtle candied fruit which is less well defined than their 2009 white 1086 . A touch of floral scent on the nose. Long, leesy persistence. Reasonably restrained. (RH)
