2011 Riesling Schoelhammer

Lemon meringue, nutmeg, white pepper, orange blossom and just a touch of candied citrus. Very dry and steely, yet powerful and poised. Full-bodied, but incredibly taut and compacted. The wine somehow manages to caress the palate like silk, while remaining pointed like a pure crystal. Drink in 2021 or hold for a long time after that.
