Straw yellow in colour with Golden glints, moving up the intensity spectrum, the nose is profound with aromas of ripe pear, apricot and pineapple. Slightly oaked. Intriguingly dry but with subtle sweetness (like nothing I have tasted ever before!) pronounced acidity which is in good harmony with the fruit composition. On the palate red and green apples, pear, floral notes, spice and slightly petrol notes. well balanced. A very long saline finish. Candidate for wine of the night!

Deep golden. Heady nose with a firm, ‘green’ spine and lots of personality. A rarity that should be encouraged. Real grip on the palate. Long and confident. I wonder what it was like young? (JR)
The 2016 Completer Malanserrebe is pure and concentrated on the deep and mineral nose. Full-bodied, intense and rich on the palate, this is an elegant white with concentration, grip and salty-mineral tension. It is very long and tightly structured, with intense and concentrated fruit. It is still a baby but will age for many years. Tasted at the domaine in Malans in November 2018.
