2017 Saint Joseph Les Sabots de Coppi

Opaque magenta. Mineral-tinged dark fruit, cherry, peony and smoked meat scents are complemented by an exotic spice nuance that builds as the wine opens up. Offers appealingly sweet, spice-kissed blueberry, black raspberry and cherry. Salty olive flavors show excellent clarity and lift thanks to zesty mineral and black pepper flourishes. Shows impressive depth but comes off lithe and finishes on a gently tannic note, with strong, mineral-driven persistence. (all whole clusters; fermented in neutral demi-muids and amphoras and raised in used demi-muids )
