Note di degustazione
As it tends to happen, the 2013 Terroir Series Malbec Finca Ambrosía is my favorite from the series. It has all the flowers, wild herbs and austere minerality from the high-altitude place in a cool year. It's both delicate and powerful—a combination rare to find. This is a textbook example of the variety, place and vintage. Bravo! 24,000 bottles were filled in September 2015.

(15% alcohol, from roughly 20-year-old vines planted on active limestone): Saturated ruby to the rim. Pungent aromas of blackberry, licorice, graphite, violet and wild herbs. The most mineral-driven of Trapiche's Terroir Series bottlings, with its blackberry and cassis flavors accented by thyme and chalk. Spreads out to saturate the palate on the back end, finishing vigorous and very long, with noteworthy energy and firm but well-integrated tannins.
