Note di degustazione
As was the case with the corresponding Grosse Gewächse, I miss the cut or clarity here that I perceived in the Herrenberg Kabinett, but in this instance the qualitative difference is relatively small. Apple, white peach and honeydew melon combine for an appealing nose and a lusciously fruity palate impression well-supported by surprisingly high residual sugar. And there is a flattering suggestion of silkiness allied to alcoholic buoyancy. The finish is succulently sustained and subtly stone-lined.

RS 56 g/l, TA 8.8 g/l. Delicate and very nervy on the nose. Bright and firm – very juicy lime-juice effect. Sculpted and textured for the moment. Still very youthful. Airy and mildly floral. (JR)
Spiced citrus and peach. A minerally spice. Creamy but beautifully fresh and better integrated than the Herrenberg, for the moment at least. Lovely balance and length. GV (JH)
