Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2019-2038, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2019

The nose of the 2016 Granite Syrah displays all of the classic expressions—dusty dark fruit, black pepper with soft smoky and herbal tones. On the palate, the wine displays more structure and power than the other Syrah bottlings in the range and stands with a slight rigidity and firm structure. The finish is elegant and thoughtfully crafted, and it will last for decades. I have always had a great appreciation for these wines, as they show a sense of place, with the precision of world-class winemaking. If you are a Syrah lover and collector who has not tasted these wines, it is time to track some down for yourself to add to your cellar.

Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2019-2031, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com, Mar 2019

Dried meat, beautiful plummy fruit and firm, serious tannins. An absolutely valid threat to the northern Rhône, showing the full range of Syrah's potential. (RH)

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2020-2032, Neal Martin, Aug 2018

The 2016 Granite Syrah has slightly darker fruit than the 2015 and is rather floral on the nose in comparison. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity and blackberry, tobacco and light graphite notes toward the spicy finish. This, I think, has the upper hand over the 2015 and is very promising.
