Note di degustazione
Thereâs inherent complexity to this single-block bottling. Aromas of red cherries and darker cherries, as well as plums, nori and crushed violet flowers. The palate has such composure with refined and concise, blueberry and cherry flavors, wrapped in layers of fresh and polished tannin. Magnificently articulate pinot that is also just utterly delicious and whose style is driven very much by site and soil, both cleverly interpreted. Drink now and even better in 6+ years. Screw cap.

The standout this year is the 2017 Block 5 Pinot Noir, which takes rose petals and black tea, adds sexy notions of dried spices and puts those all against a backdrop of ripe black cherries and cola. It's medium to full-bodied, with a rich, silky mouthfeel and plenty of length on the finish.
Pale ruby-purple. Smoky, crushed rock and subtle clove oak, with some violet and black cherry. Layered. On the palate, juicy, dense, black-cherry fruit. Compact, tight, fairly firm tannins that need time. Long and peppery finish. (TJ)
