The 2016 Riesling Erdener Treppchen Auslese ** (Golden Capsule) opens with a deep and complex, pretty smoky and citrus-laced bouquet. Lush, intense and creamy on the palate, this Treppchen Auslese reveals a very delicate raisin flavor with ripe and fine acidity. It is beautifully balanced and stimulating in the lingering, salty-piquant finish. This is another gorgeous Auslese from Markus Molitor. It was filled in 375-milliliter bottles in December 2017. Tasted March 2018.
