The 2016 Saumur Champigny La Haye Dampierre is clear and fresh on the reductive nose. Silky-lush and elegant on the palate, this is a fruity, well-concentrated, fresh and grippy Cabernet Franc to have with beef and cheese. I like its crunchy blackcurrant character a lot and certainly the freshness.
