From magnum. Engrossing nose: a combination of Pinot's crystalline red fruit plus earthy development, smoke and complementary oak spice. Resolved tannins and rounded acid, retains a smokiness through its medium finish. (RH)

2,881 bottles made. Pale ruby with garnet glints. Toasty cedar oak over rich strawberry and red cherry. Hint of flint and some dried herb. Crisp acidity, flinty mineral, stone and spicy clove oak. Filigree, fine, light tannins. This is about acidity. Long, with a toasty oak finish. Great finesse. (TJ)
The 2014 Pinot Noir, which is 100% de-stemmed, has a very clean, pure bouquet of red cherries, crushed strawberry and pressed rose petal scents that blossoms in the glass. This is very Burgundy-like, very transparent. The palate is well balanced with fine tannin, very well judged in terms of acidity, and a little saline in the mouth, displaying good grip towards a finish that suggests this will repay four or five years in bottle. Now this is the Bell Hill I know and love.
