Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2019-2031, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com, Nov 2020

Fragrant, delicate, sweet-fruited with an almost candied cherry character on the nose, and plenty of generous vanilla oak too. Very much the silky side of Côte Rôtie, but still with serious depth and persistence. Ready to drink now, but with ample ageability. (RH)

Dark purple. Bright and energetic on the nose, displaying spice- and mineral-tinged dark berry, cherry and floral scents that pick up smoke and cracked pepper nuances as the wine opens up. Juicy and seamless in texture, offering sweet black raspberry, cherry liqueur and violet pastille flavors and a hint of salty olive. Fine-grained tannins add grip to an impressively long, lively finish that echoes the floral and cherry notes.

Vibrant cherries, cassis, green peppers, cedar and violets with raspberry and grapefruit aromas. The palate has a fresh, sleek and elegant delivery of blackcurrant and purple-cherry flavors with lemon verbena and cassis fruit, delivered amid fine, succulent tannins. Try from 2023.
