Still in tank, the 2014 Cotes de Roussillon Latour de France Visitare Interiore Terrae ( V I T ) is a 60/40 split of Grenache and Syrah the spent 18 months in 60% demi-muids and 40% in concrete tanks. It offers a full-bodied, supple, sexy style (which is not the norm in the vintage) to go with lots of ripe currant fruit, licorice, black raspberries and dried herbs. It will drink nicely right out of the gate, yet also evolve nicely.

Cask sample. Slightly paler than the RI bottling but subtler on the nose. Really sweet and yet fresh too. Great grip on the palate and granite/schist effect. Complex. (JR)
The 2014 Cotes du Roussillon V I T (Latour de France Visitare Interiore Terrae) is shockingly good. Harvest September 28, and a 60/40 blend of Grenache and Syrah, aged in equal parts concrete tank and demi-muid, it exudes finesse and elegance in its perfumed raspberry, black raspberry, dried flower and violet-laced bouquet. The palate doesn’t lose a beat either and has full-bodied richness, a seamless, sexy texture and stunning purity of fruit. I’m hoping it shows this well from bottle!
