Bottled 2017. RS 102 g/l. Burnt sienna colour. On the nose that umami-salty bitterness of really long cask ageing – but it’s attractive. Likewise on the palate, an incredible freshness of bitter orange even with the beginning of something more savoury like walnuts. Long sour-bitter and glorious aftertaste. (JH)

Bottled 2017. Mid brownish gold with a hint of green. Smells sweet and nutty and vaguely of polished wood. The most perfect balance between sweetness and mouth-watering acidity. That nutty flavour comes through strongly on the palate but also with the orange of long-matured dark marmalade, though not as sweet as that would be. Stunny nutty, walnut-bitter complexity clothed in burnt caramel and then with spiced bitter orange on the finish. Layers and layers of flavour. (JH)
RS 102 g/l, TA 7.9 g/l, 1,506 bottles released 2017. Golden brown. Polished wood, caramelised walnuts. Super-rich and full in the mouth. Broad and rich and almost savoury with an umami character but shot through with freshness. That bitter orange flavour on the finish adds the freshness and stunning length. (JH)
