Single vineyard in Bannockburn. Pale-mid garnet. Cinnamon-clove oak. Fresh and dried strawberry and blackberry, with a touch of truffle development, and cola smoke. Ripe, dense blackberry, with firm, grainy tannins. Nutty, spiced and long. (TJ)

Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, the 2010 Target Gully Pinot Noir displays notes of kirsch and dried mulberries with nuances of blueberry preserves, baking spices and oolong tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers a great concentration of slowly evolving red berry flavors supported by a medium level of grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing with very good persistence. Drink it now to 2017+. No known USA importer.
Good full red. Nose initially dominated by smoky oak, but strawberry and raspberry aromas emerged with air. Broad, sappy, spicy and dry, with good mineral thrust and energy keeping the flavors under wraps today. Finishes classically dry and rather closed.
Good full medium red. Musky aromas of dark raspberry, licorice, mocha and clove. Concentrated but tight and a bit tart-edged; seems youthfully imploded today and less sweet than the basic Central Otago bottling. But the wine's intriguing flinty minerality holds out promise for positive development in bottle.
