2015 St Joseph

(all whole clusters and aged in neutral oak barrels) Bright violet. Powerful, mineral-tinged cherry and blackberry scents, along with notes of smoky bacon, licorice and pungent flowers. Nicely concentrated and energetic on the palate, offering juicy black and blue fruit flavors that gain weight and become sweeter with air. Closes long, sappy and sweet, showing very good clarity and cut to the minerally, youthfully tannic finish.
