Lifted lime fruit, and already a hint of TDN . Super-fresh, dry(ish) and zesty, with the sweetness of citrus to round out the acidity. Excellent balance and intensity. Long too. (JH)

From Block 2 of The Elms vineyard. The grapes were hand picked and whole-bunch pressed. Wild-yeast fermentation took place over 10 weeks, followed by some time on the fine lees. RS 5 g/l. Vibrant lemon and lime on the nose with the merest hint of something floral. Aggressively dry on the end but (just) not austere. A sophisticated wine that should age well. No excess phenolics. (JR)
The 2016 Dry Riesling has a gorgeous nose of fresh lime juice, grapefruit and lemon peel with hints of jasmine, musk and acacia honey. Dry, crisp and light-bodied on the palate, the flavors are almost electric in their intensity, leading to a very long, minerally finish.
From Bannockburn. RS 5.3 g/l. Clean lime fruit and crushed herbs and rocks. Tastes off dry – though it is described as dry on the label – and all in balance with a strong lime-fruit finish. You could drink it now but I’d wait a at least a year or so and it should age well. (JH)
