Note di degustazione
Tasted out of tank, the 2016 IGP Saint Guilhem le Desert Blanc is a ripe, sweetly fruited white made from a mix of Viognier, Petit Manseng, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. It gives up lots of sweet peach, orange marmalade and sugared citrus in a fruit-forward, nicely texture style that’s straight up gulpable.

Medium straw in color, the gorgeous 2016 Blanc opens with alluring notes of saffron, wild herbs, dried honeysuckle and a drizzle of honey. Full-bodied and concentrated, it is impeccably balanced, showcasing a sapid character that confirms the whites from Mas de Daumas Gassac begin to reveal their full potential only after six to eight years in bottle. The 2016 crescendos into a long, complex finish.
