Note di degustazione
The 2015 Estate Chardonnay shows a little funk on the nose, a slight whiff of Brie dissipating with time to reveal attractive scents of brioche , almond, grilled hazelnut and a touch of peach skin. The well-balanced palate offers citrus peel, a light tang of marmalade and a light saline note toward the finish, though this is not as pronounced as the 2016 Estate Chardonnay. However, I admire the cohesiveness and depth to this 2015 even if it might not be as long-term as the two succeeding vintages. Tasted at the Kumeu River Chardonnay vertical in London.

Broad and opulent on the nose. Massive streak of acidity. But real grip and extract on the palate. Lovely already with strong attack. Long. (JR)
Pear and tight and tense. Still very youthful. Tense and tight. Lively. Still very youthful. (JR)
The 2015 Estate Chardonnay is more open-knit and less taut than the single vineyard wines, with an expressive nose of ripe nectarines, pink grapefruit and guava, plus underlying notes of baking bread and ginger. Medium-bodied, it offers richness and good depth in the mouth with a an approachable, refreshing backbone and great harmony.
