Pale, green-tinged yellow. Vibrant, mineral-inflected citrus and orchard fruit scents are complemented by deeper melon and peach nuances. Vibrant and precise on the palate, offering sappy Meyer lemon, lime zest, quinine and honeysuckle flavors and a bracingly bitter suggestion of peach pit. Closes very long and nervy, featuring a resonating mineral note and lingering citrus fruit character.

Early dryish vintage – nearly as early as 2015. ‘One of the most exciting releases of the last decade.’ Light and pure – limey – nose. And wonderful breadth and fruit on the palate. Chalky finish with real persistence. Fine to broach now but clearly with a long future. Extra tension and precision on the 2015. Really lip-smacking. (JR)
