Scents and luscious juiciness of pineapple, pear and mango signal Riesling in a very different key from those that preceded it in the present collection, and certainly a wine from significantly riper fruit than that which informed the excellent corresponding Spätlese feinherb . Subtly creamy in feel yet animating and decidedly slate-lined, this finishes with vibrant persistence, assisted by an invigorating influx of juicy, zesty fresh lime, and transparent to hints of smoky black tea and crystalline mineral impingement.
