Note di degustazione
The 2015 Coddington Chardonnay has a slightly smudged bouquet that lacks the precision of the 2016 and 2017. The palate is taut and balanced, but seems to be holding something back and doesn’t quite deliver the expected weight and persistence on the finish. I wonder if this has something up its sleeve. Tasted at the Kumeu River Chardonnay vertical in London.

Very savoury nose with just a hint of struck match. Intensity and vibrancy – very winning already. Bit of a golden boy. Real reverberation. Beautiful balance. (JR)
Actually quite savoury on the nose. Then broad and almost rich. Still quite tight and minerally. Maybe not the densest. Dry finish. (JR)
The 2015 Coddington Chardonnay is youthfully muted with subtle suggestions of lemon curd, lime leaves and grapefruit peel plus a yeasty, toasty, cedary waft. Light to medium-bodied, fine, fresh and delicate in the mouth, it delivers good citrus and yeasty notes.
