From jeroboam. Deep copper. Not much fizz! Very old savoury Churchillian white burgundy. Definitely past its peak. Would have been made in this jeroboam but they needed a corkscrew to extract the cork. Pretty big and lovely with food. Finishes just a little suddenly. Slightly brutal. Very small yield. Very dense. But no poetry. (JR)

Disgorged 30 Oct 92. Greenish gold. Some sweetness and florality. A completely different style to the more savoury 1988. Fine and dense – very flirtatious mousse. More delicate than the 1988. Could be drunk as an aperitif. Very small, frost-reduced crop. (JR)
(jeroboam)Quite deep gold. On the nose this is going into a mushroom phases. Lovely deep, dense, truffly nose. Very comforting as well as being neat and classy. Particularly satin-smooth texture. Long, dancing wine that is still beautifully lively. This could be drunk with food or as an exceptionally luxurious aperitif. Mind you, this sample was in a big bottle.
