Note di degustazione
Limpid yellow. Intensely perfumed, mineral-accented aromas of Meyer lemon, pear skin, fig and toasted brioche, lifted by a spicy gingery element. Sappy, penetrating citrus and orchard fruit flavors pick up iodine and fennel notes with air. Chewy, gripping and minerally on the lingering, sharply focused finish, which leaves a sappy pear nectar note behind.

Aromas a little more intense than on the Filius. But not markedly more intense on the palate, deeper perhaps and a little longer. Mealy lees quality and the textural richness that is characteristic of of Vasse Felix Chardonnays. Fresh and embryonic. (JH)
Some broad, winning ripe-fruit character on the nose and then this is marshalled into a tight-knit bundle on the palate. Excellent acidity that is well integrated. I suspect this will be even better in a year’s time but it’s already broachable. (JR)
Lightly smoky nose. Crystal-clean fruit. Really limpid palate expression. Bursting with life. Lovely mid weight. Very readable without too much – but with significant – acidity. Only on the finish does this present itself as anything less than tip top. VGV (JR)
