Note di degustazione
Vibrant yellow-gold. Aromas of fresh pear, honeysuckle and chamomile are lifted and sharpened by suggestions of white pepper and lemon pith. Weighty and broad but tightly focused too, offering juicy orchard and candied citrus fruit flavors plus a hint of succulent herbs. Clings impressively on the finish, leaving suave floral and chalky mineral notes behind.

A smoking white, the 2012 Hermitage Blanc les Miaux is made from equal parts Roussanne and Marsanne that was aged in demi-muid. Loaded with notes of almond paste, toasted bread, apple blossom and honeysuckle, it flows onto the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, integrated acidity and great finish. It will have 15 years or more of longevity.
(100% marsanne): Light, bright gold. Exotic aromas of dried pit fruits, pear skin, melon and honey, with mineral and spice nuances building with air. Pliant, palate-staining pit and orchard fruit flavors are sharpened and lifted by a note of bitter citrus pith. Shows impressive depth and powerful minerality, finishing with persistent spiciness and excellent cling.
