Note di degustazione
The 2014 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese (AP #16) offers a beautiful mix of white nectarines, tropical fruits, flinty slate and lemon flavors on the nose. Very elegant and round on the palate, with a lingering salinity and stimulating piquancy, this is a well balanced and juicy Sonnenuhr with tropical fruit flavors and honeydew melon aromas; it has a long, grippy and charming finish. Nice purity, but also sensually juicy in its sweet and fruity texture.

A delightfully flowery nose of apple blossom, honeysuckle and heliotrope also anticipates the juicy fresh apple that features on a buoyant, polished, and (for this site and house) surprisingly firm palate. Hints of anise along with a wet stone undertow add interest to a simultaneously soothing and stimulating finish.
