100% Garganega fermented in old barrels and aged in botti and barrels for a year. Deep lemony gold. Smells deeply golden. Smells of Alphonso mango. Dried apricots, fresh (drippingly ripe) mango, gorse, chalk dust. Has a vertical structure, a spine shaped by taut minerality (rocks, chalk, petrichor), and the fruit seems to be carved into the wine. And then, again, florals. Elderflower, frangipani, chamomile. A portmanteau of rich waxy tropical flowers and delicate dried northern-European flowers. Then fresh fennel, fennel fronds. Then hazelnut. A thousand-Arabian-nights of a wine: every time you think you've reached the end, it starts another story. I couldn't tell you how long the finish is. It doesn't finish. (TC)

Tight and fresh on the nose. Real tension apparent. Lively and citrus. Lemon cream. Very lively and with layers and great tension and juice. Very refined. (JR)
This is the Pieropan I know and love! Mealy, creamy citrus but the oak is subtle so that you get a really nutty overall effect. Creamy texture, salty almond flavour and citrus purity back on the long, mouth-watering finish. (JH)
