Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2020-2030, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2017

This Savennieres estate was created in 1995. Coming from volcanic schist soils, the 2013 Savennières Fidès is a blockbuster from Eric Morgat that offers gorgeous notes of caramelized citrus and white flowers, with just a touch of oak coming through with time in the glass. Layered, concentrated, and impeccably balanced, it has terrific purity of fruit, medium to full-bodied richness, and a great finish. It needs a year or two of bottle age and will age gracefully for at least a decade.

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2018-2030, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

The citrus-colored 2013 Savennières Fidès is lovely clear and elegant on the aromatic nose where concentrated lemon, white and yellow-fleshed fruit flavors are displayed, along with a strong mineral background. On the palate this is a very elegant, yeasty/creamy textured and lemon-fresh Chenin Blanc with some limestone features. The wine is complex and reveals a remarkable finesse, and lingering salinity and tension. Great purity and drinkability. The wine was bottled in April 2016. Total production is 10,950 bottles and 700 magnums (from five hectares).
