Good red. Reticent but pure aromas of black raspberry, peppermint, minerals and dark chocolate. Lush, primary and classically dry, with impressive complexity to the flavors of black raspberry, minerals, flowers, spices and black pepper. This boasts the energy, cut and floral lift of the best examples of this vintage, finishing with lingering saline perfume.

Mid crimson. Quite gamey nose. Lots of solid fruit and substance. Quite chewy and with masses of oomph. Too much fruit to expose the massive structure. Quite long. (JR)
