Note di degustazione
Tasted at Château Rauzan-Gassies. The 2010 Bel-Orme Tronquoy de Lalande has a superior bouquet to the 2009, a little more fruit intensity and focus, dusky blackberry, scorched earth with a touch of leather. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, red berry fruit, a little rustic but with more freshness on the finish compared to the disappointing previous vintage. Tasted June 2015.

Very refreshing nose. Lots of energy but only medium intensity on the palate. Minerals, refreshment and nice balance here even if it is not showy. Good stuff. (JR)
60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark crimson. Bright but slightly simple sweet fruit. Not much tannin. I suppose the Merlot is softening this wine. Strong Merlot bloodiness. A little heavy. (JR)
Mid to deep crimson. Green note on the nose. Readable but hard work at this point. Correct but very much a long-term wine. (JR)

The Quié family purchased Pauillac Fifth Growth Ch. Croizet-Bages in 1942, adding Rauzan-Gassies four years later. Once part of the same estate as the neighbouring Rauzan-Ségla, this Margaux property was split off in time for the 1855 Classification, earning Second Growth status.
