Evolved look. Thick and sweet and toffee. Sweet and thick and very flattering. Just more sweetness than intensity unfortunately. Not pure, though certainly attention-grabbing. Leathery finish. Fast fade. (JR)

Dark rusty colour. Pretty rude and rustic on nose. Sweet and rich and a bit rustic on the palate – very sweet and attractive like the old Engle wines though seems lacking in purity after having tasted Roumier's 2007s immediately before. (JR)
