2004 Bonnes Mares

Cask sample Restrained yet already revealing delicate perfume and nutty oak. Delicious sweet-fruited density in the mid palate. Finishes with excellent freshness. The finish lingers on, carried along on dense but soft tannins. Full and weighty, but light on its feet. Very fine. (JH) Quite deep, sweet, rich and tingly. Very lively and yet approachable. Smooth and sweet. Surprisingly evolved. Big and bold. Slight coffee. Intense. Quite limpid. (JR)
