Note di degustazione
The 2003 Crozes Hermitage Tete De Cuvee, which spent 12 months in 33% new French demi-muids, offers beautiful violet, spiced meat, leather and blackcurrant aromas and flavors as well as medium to full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. Nicely textured and showing some maturity, it will drink well for another 3-4 years. The young rugby player (and now couch) Yann Chave did well in the vintage, with both his Crozes Hermitage and Hermitage being outstanding.

Deep violet. Hugely aromatic nose combines assertive cracked pepper, candied violet and tobacco-inflected blackberry. Broad and dense on the palate, the dark berry flavors enlivened by sound acidity and Asian spice notes, including an exotic suggestion of Szechuan peppercorn. Finishes spicy, sweet and long, with sizable but harmonious tannins and a lingering creme de mure flavor.
