Note di degustazione
The 2005 St.-Joseph L’Amarybelle has a dense purple color, notes of bay leaf, blackberry, anise, and pain grille, high acidity, rather rude tannins, but nice freshness and a chunky, fleshy, earthy mouthfeel. Give it several years of bottle age and drink it over the following decade. Importer: Rosenthal Wine Merchant Ltd., Pine Plains, NY; tel. (800) 910-1990

Dark purple. Complex aromas evoke black and blue fruits, licorice and mocha. Impressively fresh, with vivid blueberry and cassis flavors, youthful tannins and a long, sappy finish. This has brightened up since last year but still deserves some cellar time.
Inky purple. Wild, pungent, fruit-driven aromas of powerful cassis and blueberry. Very rich, chewy and deep, with sweet, liqueur-like dark berry flavors and a long, clinging finish. This closed up with air, displaying mostly structure, but my initial glimpse says that it possesses some seriously deep fruit.
